Thank you so much for replying. When I sent that letter out into oblivion I didn't know who or if it would be answered. I have seen your site and been there a few different times. I didn't understand the process as well as I do now. The changes you have made sure do simplify things. We have prayed and prayed but I think the one thing that has pushed me on is (you might think this is silly but) your pages on inducing lactation. I nursed both my previous children and that is sure one important part of the whole blessing. Pray for us please that we will soon have an answer. I have chill bumps just thinking about it!

We have prayed about adoption but never started the procedures because we didn't want to "buy a baby". We also want to be able to provide for a child after adoption and not have everything we own--financed. You are the only one that has agreed with our thinking. I am so glad I found your site. My husband and I are in the process of adopting a minority newborn through a local Christian agency. We are accepting of any minority or mixed race child. Therefore, I wanted to thank the author "Deborah" for her message in "What Color Is the Heart?" We had to write an essay (for our home study) discussing why we were interested in adopting a minority and many of our thoughts were echoed here.

Thank you so much for adding the section "Couples wanting to adopt African-American infants". As a caseworker...it is very difficult for us to find families who are willing to work with our African-American birthmothers. It is often very frustrating for me not to be able to find families for these young women... Keep up the good work! All children deserve to be brought up in a very loving and safe home.
