About  Us…In our home state of North Carolina, we met by chance and married by choice, 12 and 10 years ago respectively. Our marriage relationship is definitely a tapestry of love, understanding and respect. The success of our marriage is heavily influenced by our faith. We truly believe in the covenant of marriage and work constantly to strengthen it through Biblical application. We are very active in our church; Warren is a Trustee and we co-chair the Marriage Enrichment Ministry. Both of us are college graduates (Tamla with a Bachelor’s Degree and Warren with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree) and believe in the value and opportunities of a great education. 

About Warren according to Tamla…Warren is truly a man of God. He is a kind, generous, and caring person. I am blessed to have him in my life as my husband, partner, and best friend. His passions are reading, golfing, maintaining a well manicured lawn, working out and he's the “Chef” of our house! There's no end to his capacity to love, protect, and nurture. We are secure in his love for our family. While he may be a 'giant' in stature to some, he is a gentle man. When our daughter Annia was born prematurely, (2 lbs. 7.5 oz.), she and I were both very ill. Warren never left us while he prayed and read his Bible by our sides. Our NICU nurse commented that his commitment to family restored her faith in men. 

About Tamla according to Warren…Tamla is a God-fearing, intelligent, caring, and devoted woman of God. When I married her, I married my best friend. Whether it be through her passion for ‘interior decorating’, doing homework and school projects with our daughter, or being the CFO of our family, her passion for excellence shows in everything she does. She's committed to having our home remain a safe haven and a place of peaceful refuge for our family. Although not quite the cook, she enjoys experimenting with dessert recipes! Tamla is committed to making the world a better place and she has a servant's heart. She is a mentor to numerous young ladies and is a positive role model for many. People that meet Tamla are blessed by her ability to love and nurture. Any child would be blessed to call her “Mommy”…just ask Annia.

About Annia…Annia, aka Nia, whose name means purpose, is the center of our lives. She has a heart of gold and a passion for Christ. We won't forget when God spoke to Annia about adoption. She was sitting on the floor getting her hair done and suddenly began to cry. When we asked why she was crying, she replied, “Mommy, I have so much and God wants me to share my parents and our love with a child that has no mommy or daddy. Can we please adopt?” She didn't know that we'd been praying about adoption, so we responded, “We will pray about it and see what God says.” Nia didn't miss a day asking if God had given us our answer. When we understood God's guidance, Nia was elated and has been helping us prepare the nursery. She watches 'Adoption Story' and talks to her BFF (who is adopted) about her prayers to become a big sister. Nia is ready to embrace and love a sibling! Rusty, our Shitzu-Poodle mix is eager to welcome another member into our family.

In closing…We're excited about expanding our family through adoption and we have so much love to give! We promise that your child will be embraced by loving parents and a devoted big sister. We will raise your child in a nurturing Christian home with emphasis on family, faith, and education. Our prayer is that God will guide you to the right family. May you find peace in your decision…listen to your heart.
